I had a session this morning on the 12M Speed 3 Deluxe. Wind was 15 - 20 mph, very gusty, spiky off-shore wind. Kite handled the gusts beautifully. I just wish I weighed a buck 20, so that this could be my light wind kite!

I can't really agree with Jankie.
I found that for a kite of that AR and size it turns just great. No problems looping the kite over my head in Big Gust jumps. Felt very much in control the entire time.
In any way, me and Jankie always seem to have opposite opinions on how a kite flies. Might have to do with the fact that he is very Ozone biased and I am Flysurfer Team rider now.
I have just been back to Germany to pick up the rest of my new Kites, Tuesday looks like a great day to test the High end of the 12 Speed 3, and the Video Camera will be out. Then you guys can have a realtime view on how fast the Speed 3's are.

It was about 12-13 knots.
I'm not pimping other brand here I'm replying a question!
I sell many different brands not only Ozone.
Last year I tried the Flysurfer Speed 2 15m Silver Arrow and it seems to me the turning speed of the "Normal" Speed 3 is the same...
Too slow for today standards!!
If I have to pimp Ozone I can tell you that the owner of the Speed 3 tried my Ozone Zephyr 17m and ordered one on the spot!!!
Anyone want a Speed 3 normal 15m used 3 times...
PM me and I will put you in touch with the guy! He is coming back to Europe in 3 weeks.
Bye Jankie

question: why everyone want to work a speed? it s park and ride-hangtime kite....i dont care much if it nimble or not, i want power first...if it turns faster it s cool because i would use it for snowkiting as well and looping it for hill climbing would help, despite the speed² works too .
do people try to waveride with a speed? i dunno but it s not its design.....well i think..better driftinh is one thing, but a wave kite is another thing i guess...
now someone is saying that the speed3 turn as fast as a speed² despite the triple depower-fast-turning-P4-design.....is that objective or not...
back to back test on the french forum tells me it s not the case at all ( regular riders, no pro riders- no team riders)

Tried the Speed 2 long time ago and was the Silver Arrow in ultra light material.
To me the turning speed seems very similar!!! Pretty slow...
Bar on the Speed 3 is pretty light and the kite is nice to fly if you are a Foil enthusiast.
By the way my friend is from Spain and is coming back in 3 weeks to Europe.
He want to sell the Speed 3 - 15m Normal - complete at 1.500 Euro!! Used 2 times..
Let me know if you are interested! I will put you in touch.
Bye Jankie

Here is my impression of the 15m Speed3 DL.
The Deluxe edition weight: Only Canopy: 2.7 kg (6.0 lbs)
I was lucky enough to get to take it out for a few impressive sessions in the last 2 weeks.:
I flew it in seriously light winds 7 – 9 knots and found extremely stable as you see in Pick,
barely worth going out crap wind and was very underpowered.
It's fast.... blisteringly fast once the apparent wind built up.
The Deluxe turning speed is better compared back to back to my old 15m Speed2 stock,
on which I had over 300 + hrs flying time on it mostly light winds for the note.
It is surprisingly stable without the tip tuck and back stall and tip folding in turns,
even when I tested in its lower wind range.
The kite still flies in 6 knots and it's not much fun, I could do some downwinders,
but will see with my new Cab S-Killit light wind challenger surfboard in a week.
I did also test flown in 7 - 9 knots range twice with 27m lines.
The kite felt very slow with 6m line extension,
about the same or less than the stock 15m Speed2.
So I don’t think there is any gain with the longer lines.
Performance in the FUN Range is impressive as the jumps get very high
with unbelievable hangtime and soft landings without any effort.
It is a massive park & ride but MUCH more Sinable, Chuckable vs. 15m speed2.
In 15 knots it’s a pleasure doing such "loft style" jumps,
where no other kite could come close to it.
n some respects I have been very disappointed with the P4
as they always seemed a bit nervous on & off in gusty winds.
But not so with the ease of use of Speed3,
because this kite will allow for more mistake .
Yesterday launched it & I flew it in a 21 – 23 knots gusty winds in a grassy field.
Which I wouldn’t ever want to try compared to the old 15m S2,
because past 20 I could get lofted easily.
The trim strap was all the way pulled in gave the impression of better upper range.
Unfortunately it was getting dark and the wind picked up to over 25 knots,
I had to ask for help to hold my 60 kg weight down & to land the kite.
I landed the kite at the edge of the window and released to the FLS, no problem.
More later on in a mid high end range.
So the botom line:
The upwind & low end, I would say is about the same as the old one,
but a little easier to go in a light wind I think, so far.
In my opinion absolutely there is a feelable steering speed improvement on the Speed3 DL.
Would be nice to have a 10 m Speed3 version for sure.
