[quote="Wetstuff"] The kite sits directly downwind - I grab the back lines - the kite backs up in the air like a pickup truck - I give one line a little extra tension ... and the sucker rotates within its length ...heading straight up. New-style Hot Launch. Pretty cool! quote]

:cool2: Any Slingshot kite can do that - RPM, FUEL, T3, OCTANE as well :jump:

BWD: Game on - I can take it. .....with a sh/t-eating grin. I sewed and sold close to 10,000 of those rashguards before the Chinese got into the game and make an equal or better product for 1/2 my price.
At least I don't wear white, satin Pedal Pushers.... J'eeeez?!

Zio: Maybe this will get more Slingy flyers to try it. It's pretty fun.

The kite is the OV-13, but EH seems pretty much persona non grata here, so I thought it prudent not to draw undue attention.

Cool, and sorry for the teasing.
I wish my 'puter played those .mov's better though...
Far as I know it's fine to talk any kite, especially EH,
even if they don't go pay for play. <?>

EH probably hit kf a little hard with pre release info,
but that's between him and Toby I guess.

I am curious about something similar as a replacement big kite,
I like C's but the big ones have diminishing returns...

At some point I want to try one, or at least see video of someone riding/jumping a big Ov. in the 10-15kn range, in a US setting with weather and conditions that are clear to me (and confirmable with nearby sensor data).

So riders throw down and post up, no need to "pimp" to show what you got!

Better yet maybe someone local will get one I can check out....

Good winds to ya, maybe we get something this weekend ( //Oh, Danny boy, Oh Danny boy....//)

Yep as said before some can some cannot, rebel 2009 very easily, Evo no way, did not try the rhino but being a delta it turns easily in no wind. Very useful when the wind is low any decent kite nowaday will get on the tip easily if there is wind. I find it useful for the winter since we can use 12m in 5-6 knots of wind. These are ''barely flying'' conditions and the reverse launch helped out I will try in the water with the 2010 Rebel once I got it. Have fun with the Ovendo... By the way if a 7 was supposed to be as good as a FS SA19 (as per the videos), why bother with anything bigger?what's the story there?

..... the story is that if you're light and have a good board going quickly for planning and you're a guy with some experience getting into speed quickly you might be on that 7 same time others go on 12 ,14 or even 19. and you might even overtake them :-)
But the real fun doesn't start below 15kn , it just works , for that below 15 I use the 9 and that's it ,the 9 is good as a 12.
So when it's more than 15/16 it will be the 7 for sure. I put it on 27m in light winds .

Ok I see thanks so at 85kg, i will have to fly OMG an 11-9 quiver, to cover 12-30 knots... Not so different than my current 12-9 quiver. I woulod like to see a video on how the kite moves when an 11 or 13 used. The 7 was pretty impressive but itwas, well a 7m
thanks

it really depends on more than just your weight , the wind you're mostly exposed , your board, your style and prefs .
some of my 80 and + friends mostly go on the 11 , try to get a test ride somewhere , that's the best to find out

BWD: No worries... I converted the QT into a .wmv file for PC's ... it's now almost 3X the size, but should come through better.

http://wetstuff.com/movie/relaunch.wmv

The focus is a little soft, but I'm playing with different WP housings: this is a simple plastic bag.

I cannot tell you - yet - much about the kite, except this relaunch. I got a total of about one 200M slide out of the afternoon. What wind was expected did not appear and the forecast is not favorable 'till Danny is gone.
