local news paper article this week stated that new laws will be going in to effect banning all kiteing activites on local beaches 400yards from shore, placing patrole boats to enforce these rules and arresting anyone found to be breaking them, this means that locals will no longet be able to walk down the street to the beach and just kite from shore. the only spot that will remain open for acces is crandon parks kite beach, as a local kiter in keybiscayne i find this totally crazy crandon is a good spot but being a college student i dont allways have 5 bucks to shell out everytime i want to kite, pluse insurance and membership fees when i can just walk down to the beach and kite for free with out the hassle of having to drive to crandon park. what can we do to stop this?

Get your local kiters together, join the neighborhood board, and go to the main guy in charge and ask for a meeting. Go to the city and county office.
Unless you guys ban together and make your voices heard, other then on this forum, you will get banned.
Come up with a solution, offer ideas, make up some maps and so on. Be prepared. They respect that.
