With a hydrofoil and 14m kite I can go comfortably as soon as the kite can move back up from 3 o-clock position. A lighter kite could lower that threshold a bit and then I might just need one or two extra square meters of area to go.
My kites:
Blade vertigo 2011:
14m = 3.6kg
10m = 3kg
The fat lady would probably be one of the lightest inflatables, but it seems the 2012 SS turbine might be better! 3.7kg for a 17m inflatable. That is good.
