Trax IV Kiteboard: 80 kgs, what size?

Hi everybody,

I'm thinking about buying a F-One trax IV board (heard a lot of good stuff about it), but I was wondering which size I should get?

F-One Trax 4 (IV) - 132 x 38cm
F-One Trax 4 (IV) - 134 x 39cm
F-One Trax 4 (IV) - 136 x 40cm ?

I weigh around 80 kgs and kite out at sea, and just cruise up 'n down so far so I guess I'm intermediate level (I do wanna learn how to do some jumps soon, though).

I found someone who has the 132 x 38 cm for sale at a reasonable price, so I was just wondering if that would be too small for my weight?

Another thing is that there are some minor shallow scratches on the surface of the board: will this do any harm riding-wise? I don't really care if it looks a little used but I still want it to glide through the water like it's supposed to...

Anyways thanks in advance for the info!

I'm about your weight (77kg) and I ride the Trax IV 134. I find it rides small. It has a lot of rocker to it so I think you might have some trouble riding upwind in lighter conditions on the 132. You might struggle in the 11-14 knot range. My 2 cents would be to tell you to go for the 134 instead.

cheers

I weigh 90kg and have both the Trax IV (136) and Nobile T5. I have to say, I prefer the T5. If you want the Trax go for the 136.
