Kinsley,

please, could you tell me your opinion on the board, which size you have and how do you like the board?

Someone mentioned that the buoyancy is much less than with the normal kitesurfboard, what's your opinion? And how about early planing and do you get the glide feeling with the board, I mean does it glide/run the wave?

And how heavy is the board?

Thanks!

Here are some pics of the new fins, straps and boards (all UGD Kipuna Freewave available in white or red).
My personal choice and most important board OVERALL is the Kipuna Freewave 5'8".
More detailed reports about the board and its performance I leave to independed riders.

hey OMG,
I am 70Kg/155 lbs and my favorite size is Small Freewave for all around doing tricks and riding small chops. I ride Medium Freewave 5'8" in waves head high or bigger.

I have been riding the Freewave for a few years now and absolutely love it. The Freewave board handles chops superb and performs excellent in high wind. The Freewave board in waves is not snappy but nice and smooth.

I have both and I normally use the 5'8 when conditions are good.
I use the Fish as my light wind Kite Surf board.. In combination with the Zephyr 17m makes me able to ride waves in very light stuff.... Goes pretty nicely up wind even at very slow speed.
Turns really nice and tight.
Is not a fast board.
Fun on waist high waves.

Fish is nice and slow. I like my Freewave because it is one board that I can use in all condition: light wind, strongwind, small waves, big waves...

Check out this picture of me riding blind on the freewave :-) so much fun on the Freewave...

My husband Travis and I are both loving our Freewaves! (5'4" and 5'8") We also just got the Fish 5'10" which is going to be our ultimate light wind board. It's super fun in the light wind and small waves. The Freewaves just feel so good. I'm currently riding my 5'4" strapless, but like the straps for those days when the surf is messy as is common here in the panhandle of FL. For me, my favorite feature is the recessed deck which makes balance a lot easier than the polyester surfboard I was trying to ride before. I also love how light the board is!
