Anyone here wearing an NPX wetsuit in anything this gnarly? If so shoot me a message, I'd be thrilled to put some pics up on the website for some free shwag in return ;)

NPX 6/5/4, Nice and warm till upper 20s. A bit warmer: 35ish in this shot taken today
I just love the background here - and what a house and view it must be in the summer :thumb:

Almost like a big "Pippi Langstrømpe" house

eastcoastkite wrote:Those are great pics! I kited once in ice and snow floating in the water. I had a bad experience when my board dug under the snow/ice- I had a nice fall and lost the board under the ice. Long body drag in and lots of freezing ice water in my face :(
had the same problem when I had lost my gear. After half an hour of swimming I finally reached the beach and wanted to ask the people wether they had seen my board. But out of my mouth came...nothing. Not a single word. Because all the muscles in my face were frozen and paralyzed. :o

Resurrection of an old thread but guess what, it's time! Water getting colder up here we have been in the teens and getting the urge to kite. Spent 2 weeks in S. Florida over thanksgiving and kited so much I had blisters on my hands. I now want some of the cold stuff, anyone else getting some ? :thumb:

Yes... it getting colder.
Here's how it looked a week ago.
The wind was weak, we do not kitesurf, but it looked very strange and incomprehensible (is this the right word?) :)

Last February 2009 our local crew in Stratford CT, air mid 30's, water as cold as it looks. Sailed over the slushy ice to launch.
