I have been using Pyro Pro 2010 for whole winter and I like it very much. New breathable material feels less plastic and more like gor-tex. I still get sweat sometimes but it's easy to cool off in a water. I have been kiting in freezing temperature(26F Air 38F water) and feel warm. Same time my buddy was kiting with me in a wetsuit without any problem either. I think it's a matter of preferences.

I have both the 2009 and 2010 Ocean Rodeo pyro pro drysuites... both are very good, it is a personal preference. I use them year round.

From a picture it would be hard to tell the difference as 09 and 10 will look the same. The only thing that has changed is the fabric. 2010 is fully breathable, has a softer feel to it and is way more flexible. The one in your pic is actually the 2009 :-) I can tell by the fabric.

The Pyro Pro is hands down one of the best drysuits out there. Because of the flex panels the suit can be cut a bit closer to the contoures of the human body compared to most other drysuits. This makes it less baggy while still allowing for insane freedom of movement.

I agree that it is a luxury item for most of us. A few years ago I used my wetsuit during winter. Doable but the pyro is just way nicer. Would never go back

cheers.
