Dear All,

I need your help. I am going to replace my 2007 North Vegas... i loved this kite but i just destroyed it.

I am a 67 KG advanced Kitesurfer.

I am looking for a kite with the following specification:

Great jumping performance
Light in the bar
Very large wind range (i prefer to have only one kite in my quiver)

Would you advice me a such a kite, from North / Naish or any other brand.

I had a look at the Naish Cult / North Evo, but not sure it's gonna make it as i never tried them...

I would appreciate your feedback !

Thanks for your answer.

Fly.

You've gotta give people some parameters otherwise you'll get advice about as many kites as there are kites..

so more info about what you like...how you ride..

Unless you go for another vegas...

If you like jumping and since you are used to using your board try the helix...it has a gut wrenching vertical pull...good low end. The kite will have a super good range, but not as good range as the cult. Cult is more stable in extreme wind conditions...but I don't really know how the wind is where you are...both the cult and helix can be very light on the bar, but that is adjustable. Helix jumps a little better than the cult...IMO.

In regards to Delta kites: some people like them, but I would definitely recommend you try them first.
Most of the Delta shapes seems to be coming back to what the SLE are already doing...a little less on the low end but more range...

Well the Epic Screamer has the best jumping performance by far. But it does not have the lightest bar pressure. I would look into it if the jumping performance is your priority. The Limited Edition or 9m Screamer could easily be a one kite quiver. You can tune them a ton to fit the conditions/your style.

Dear All,

Thanks for your answer.

I am really looking for a one quiver kite, the kite i could kite with from 12 knots to 25 knots ...

Also jumping performance is important as i really this.

I often waves on spot where there is no waves, that is the reason why.

So would you go rather for Naish, Epic ?

No-one is mentioning north on this post, is there any reason ?

Thx

Evo is a nice kite - but I wouldn't call it light on the bar. Vegas is my favorite kite out there, but you just can't compare the range to something like the Rebel or Fuse, or various SLEs. 1 kite quivers suck anyway - you gotta have a good 9M in any quiver!

You should look for a delta shape in the 12m range. I ride Wainman Boss but any delta should do the trick. I would look for something that lets you adjust the bar pressure and turning speed like the Wainmans, GK's, RPM's, not sure on the Epics didn't check them out when I was doing demos last week. Just find a place where you can demo the kites before you buy.

What to think of the new Naish Torch 2010 in 12M ?

On their website, i cannot find any information about the windrange.

As well i have hear the octopus system can be a big problem if the bladder got damaged ?

cheers

C kite. I wanted try it last week but once you ride a fuel there is no other. For the wind range you want I doubt a C kite will do the trick.
