I bought a flotation aid from nrsweb.
it offers some impact proteccion but it really helps as extra flotation on the sea.
NRS Anti-Gravity Shirt
Stay warmer - float higher. The Anti-Gravity Shirt will supplement the flotation of your PFD, lifting you higher without restricting your mobility.

ive been using the mystic D30 and ive been really happy with it. Fits really well because theres not much bulk to it, but absorbs shock really well. I thought it was mostly hype but the D30 material is actually pretty good. Failed rolls that i land on my back and normally winded myself, i dont even feel anymore. Not really the best flotation though because theres not much bulk, but i wear a wetsuit underneath it anyway.

JoshNoe wrote:Yup, the Neilpryde High Hook Vest and NPX Immortal are essentially the same vest. The main differences, as you mentioned, are the graphics and the pocket in the front of the Neilpryde.
Most of the schools we work with use these vests for their students, and we've had overwhelmingly positive feedback from them. They don't ride up because of the harness hook hole, they have plenty of flotation, and they're so adjustable that they come in two sizes at once (ex. XS-S, M-L, etc.).
I use one when I'm racing offshore and I hardly notice it's there.
Hi JoshNoe
Hi I am on the heavier side and have been trying to source a Neil Pryde high hook in xxxl.
I seem to get the impression that they were primarily supplied into the U.S.A. market or just not made anymore .
Regards
Hugh

Yes 'see' what not to do. There are one or two who don't look when they tack etc.
Back on topic any thoughts on the Crewsaver Kite or Neil Pyrde Elite? They're both 'CE' approved too.

Trolling here....
The thing I like about the NPX and Neil Pryde High Hook Vests are that they go on over the top lip of the waist harness, not underneath it. Because of that, the harness doesn't slide up along with the vest. The High Hook Vest also has the hold down strap (if this was hockey it would be called a fight strap) that keeps the vest down so it doesn't ride up around the rider's neck.
We have all sizes of both models and ship international. They are light so they are generally not expensive to ship.
Thanks,
Stafford

Hi Stafford
Ironic you should mention that yea supply all sizes
until a few days ago I had been looking for a Neil Pryde high hook XXXL (I had one bought from eBay but their "lake water sports section" shop with XXXL is closed till summer) seems that they used to make them once (or it might have been just for the US market)
I am being sent a XXL NP from a local Irish shop to try out for size.
