Hi, i`m posting just to share, and see if we concord,
and speciallly if someone doing it, can compare it to Fuel looping (9 m ?? may be the 7 i think )

the fact is i was surprised how much powerfull the kiteloop is when doing it
with the briddles? in wakestyle setup,
i `m "trying" high hooked in kiteloops (won`t be fair to call them megaloop, ),
i was trying it in wakestyle...
but, goshh....it`s being hard..
yesterday, I change to freestyle setup, and it`s a piece of cake
way much better to me , getting the courage to go higher!!!

So, anyone, can confirm my "thinking" (haahha, don`t find the right word ..help?)
and compare RPM 8 m (wakestyle setup) looping against Fuel 7/9 looping?

Not planning to upgrade, just wondering.
Thanks in advance!
Bye

The 8 is awesome, especially in 30+. Wakestyle slows the turning speed and make a bigger loop. But is a little better for park and ride. I love mega looping the 8 as it always catches you. I mostly ride in the freestyle setting.

Hi,

I had fuels for 2 years and have recently moved to RPM's.

One of the things I loved about the fuels was the kiteloops, I used to like looping the 9m and the 7m out of my quiver. The 7m was the best as it always caught you and gave you a nice smooth landing. It gave you the confidence to loop early and give you that huge tug you're looking for.

I kept my 7m fuel when I brought the RPM's as I couldn't imagine they would loop as good as the fuels. I initially had the RPM's in the freestyle mode and took the 8 out in the high 20's knots looped it and thought is was very weak compared to the fuel, half the pull of the fuel and a much to tight loop like a bow kite. I was stoked I had kept my fuel!! Not stoked on the rpm.

I've been mainly using the 10m and have been playing with the settings. The best setting for me is no bar pressure and wake style. I changed the settings on my 8m last week to the same and took it out in solid 25kn+. It's now a different kite in the loops, much more like the fuel with a decent tug. It caught me every single time and I had just as much fun as I would have done on my fuel. It was enough to convince me to sell the fuel and get a 6m RPM as I'm sure it's going to have a better top end than the fuel.

The unhooked kiteloops are also awesome on the RPM.

I think both the fuels and the RPM's are amazing kites and both have there slight advantages over each other. Fuels = kiteloops and unhooking (in their sweet spots)
RPM's= More pop, better in the gusts, depower, range, unhooking and loops almost as good as the fuel.

I hope that helps.

This is very interesting I have never fooled with the wakestyle setting on my 10m RPM... I felt like it wouldn't really make that big of a difference?

Does wakestyle setting over freestyle make the kite slower? Loop bigger?

EDIT... didn't read Noels posting haha

Try it out!!! I do spend most of the time unhooked so like the kite to move slower. I find it has more grunt in wake.

THanks for the replies!

yes, more grunt, but the grunt when looping i think is the biggest difference
so, to conclude, looping in wakestyle setup, is almost as powerfull as a Fuel not that far
good to know!
Bye

When the kite sits deeper in the wind window in waestyle setup, does it also catch you as good in the loops?
