....One thing about 12m 2010 Rise is that it's quite instable in gusty winds. It has sort of on/off switch and can fall down and give you problem if you aren't careful and are prepared for that behavior.
Otherwise it's a nice kite.
Somebody who has been on the 2010 12M want to respond to this one?

Hi
I got an PM that it can depend on problem with air pressure which in my case depend on leaking bladders. When I finally get my kite holding air completely I can give an answer if that's was the reason. As I see it, it sure can be the reason.

That didn't take long.
I have the 2009 12M and it flies great, I love it.
.
I heard the 2010 is better in several significant ways.

I like the looks of the new directional...nice and clean. I tried an OR directional a couple years ago and it was crap.
Hopefully made changes...

100% correct, our previous production surfboards were lousy - I opted not to ride them myself.........but I can assure you that the 2011 is completely different in both construction and shape, and it is *&Y*^^$$ killer.
Cheers,
Evan

I figured as much...
The last board was pretty heavy. I also had the chance to demo one of OR's custom directional's and it was sick! But apparently hard to come by.
Can't wait to demo it.

I ahve both the 12M and the 9M 2010 kites and love them. I agree they are a bit more on off, but I think it is the throw of the bar. As far as stability they are awesome. You ahe to learn them, but from my 2008 and 2009 they are the best by far !
I hope the 2011 chicken loop can be put on the 2010 bar. I really like the 2010 bar, but I have several times ejected by accident becasue the tab is too short on the chicken loop release.

Dcole5, please contact your retailer and we'll take care of your 2010 bar " ejection issue " through them under warranty.
If constant power is what you're looking for, the Razor ought to fit the bill perfectly.
Cheers,
Evan
