Just got home from my trip to Hatteras with Ryan from Kitehero and all I can say is thanks to Dimitri the Infinity saved 2 of my days there of kiting! And I had a blast in light wind!

First off I'm a Mutiny Team Rider, so this not pimping, just the truth. I only tried the Infinity kite from Epic and its the best light wind kite ive been on. Pulls so hard through the turns and evens loops!

This kite saved me of the days of just sitting on the beach waiting, and made it possible to ride in some of the cleanest surf I've ever kited in because it was only blowing 10 mph.

The two days I used the Infinity the winds were from about 9-13mph. One day in the surf and the other in the sound. I was lit when riding in the sound when I would have gusts up to 13!

From my two day experience of the kite, I couldn't find any flaws, did everything right. However when in a beginners hands the kite can over fly them if you are in very light and gusty winds. The kite climbs up the window so fast that it can over fly a beginner if they leave it sheeted out the whole time. Just remember to sheet in a bit on the way up and all good, its incredible how fast this kite is for its size! I loved it!

Thanks again Epic for hooking us up with the kite for the 2 days!

These are the new EPIC "Reef surf boards". The final prototypes just landed in the USA. These boards will come in 2 sizes: 5'11" thruster fins and a 5'7" ATV with a set up of quads or thrusters fins "your choice".
The production boards should be ready by September.
These boards will come complete with FINS/PADS/STRAPS.

Hi Dimitri, Which board would be best for messing around in light wind and the occasional wave session in Lake Huron or Lake Michigan?

Dimitri - nice looking boards.

One small suggestion - I would consider 2 completely different names for 2 completely different boards.

One small question - What is the functionality of the channels on the groveler?

Hello guys,
Thank you for all your inputs and comments. They are both REEF surf boards but one is the REEF 5'7" ATV (all terrain vessel) for all around surf and for light wind.
Then the other one is the REEF 5'11" for higher winds and bigger waves.

The function of these channels makes the board track better and in the same time makes it very loose and very alive. For example if at the last minute you decide to cut inn harder in order to catch the lip, of the wave, the board will follow with out spinning out.
In few words it makes the board plane faster and very responsive.

Dimi, do you make the calls for the gear design (functional/technical) and testing? I know you got tons of years under your belt riding different stuff.

Hello "mikewang"
I do 70% of the calls and the other 30% are my designers, shops, schools, team riders, reps, and customers. We all work together in order to bring you one of the best kites and boards in the market and so far it has been proven. But it is very hard to keep every body happy.
