I can't believe you put Caution, RRD, Epic, Blade and Nobile on there. Just because they aren't at the only beach you kite doesn't mean they aren't out there. I see those brands specifically at almost every location on the West Coast.

You are the only guy that I have ever seen riding Epic. Not saying that there aren't more but most certainly not a very popular brand on the West Coast .......

Never seen in my area (central coast, Cali): Griffin, Blade, Gin, Latitude, Nobile, Gaastra, Mutiny, Advance, JN, Vari, Core, HQ.

I've been searching on Google Earth without much success.

Even the smartest search engine can't find New Zealand if you don't type it properly I guess. :thumb:

You must have your countries wrong. I am in Cyprus (Europe) and there is no kitesurfing beaches on the west coast of the island due to it's rugged coast line. You must be in the US ?

From the previous posts I can now add to my rarely or never seen list of kites in Cyprus :

GK
Vari
EH
Griffin
Starkites

At this point it looks like some brands can survive by selling mostly on their local markets.

Example:

Ocean Rodeo in Canada
Eclipse/Epic in Hatteras
EH in Domenican Republic
Caution West coast
Nobile in Poland
Peter Lynn in New Zealand

I guess we are talking about less than 500 kites produced per year.

This also shows how important is a good distributor. I guess the Dubai RRD distributor could import almost any other brand and get the same results.

Peter lynn is quite popular in the smaller towns of brittany(france) and a few people have them in the South east coast of Australia. They are especially popular for people who land board aswell as kitesurf and dont have a lot of cash. I would not say they are a small brand from my experience. They also make a lot of good open celled foils for the buggy market.

Also have not seen many nobile kites but the boards are very popular.

Do you guys see Airush around? They are new in our market (Denmark) but have been around for a while I know. But do they have any market share?

Flexifoil, you see them?

Not surprised no one has seen a Mutiny kite as they've not started selling them yet and are still in development.

Round here never seen a Vari kite or Gaastra
