There have been nine other scenarios going back over eight years. Some may have been dated by changes in kiting technology, others not. Check them out, it may start to make sense to you. viewforum.php?f=131

Your profile says you started in 2008. This has been fun but have to get back to things. Do yourself a favor, read the accounts and think it over.

yes, i have indeed been kiting since 2008. that makes 08, 09, and 10, and if you include the lessons i got in 07, thats almost 4 years. you dont know me, and that doesn't change if you click on my kiteforum profile.

regardless how long i've been involved with this particular sport, i have be sailing competitively since i was 7 years old, and surfing since i was 12. i am 24. i feel quite confident in my knowledge about wind, water, and weather to know when to not put a kite in the air.

there are enough real horror stories, so i dont see why you have to make them up.

i bet you wear a helmet when you kite....

Hey Proud guy!

So recognising a dangerous situation is innate?

If you are so gifted to recognise such situations without learning, how about the lay people?

Would you explain your method, or you want to keep it all for yourself?

Guys who become statistics are people who don't know they are in the wrong sport, and proud of it.

I don't mind guys removing themselves from the gene pool on a parking lot out of their own stupidity. I do mind however people who chose to teach, know very little, and as a result make their students believe they are safe.

Kiting since 2008? Full time ? And proud of that. Wow!

It's quite irresponsible to use "ha-ha you're wearing a helmet" as an insult.
