I use NSI and am very happy with it.

I've inspected other brands and construction/sizing looks similar so the main things are to double check your board fits exactly and when you travel US 50 lbs. is the trigger vs. anything about the bag.

random tips:
if you leave your fins on, it will cut the bag. Yes, I've done it a couple times when I literally showed up to the airport straight from the beach and tossed everything in.

having everything wet and sandy adds a few pounds so don't start with it right up to the max.

Hi Chilllbay,
I'm sure no matter what people write back with you will get others saying the complete opposite.
Personally I have both the Dakine Club Wagon and the Dakine SX bag. I have travelled with multiple airlines and have never had to pay for oversized luggage. The same goes for my two friends who bought the same bags.
I have the same bag. Just wondering if it helps if when you check a bag like this is it your single bag you check or do you bring an additional luggage bag. Sorry for my ignorance. I havent traveled with kite gear yet.

Sure you can bring another bag. i did once with 8 kite bags (nope, you must pay for the extra weight).

For economy class a golf bag with 2 kites is the MAX weight.

Slingshot's does look pretty great. It can fit multiple boards without scratching each other. Up to a 5'2" surfboard and 152cm board too.

It looks that slingshot discontinue this bag.

Please if any one knows a shop in USA that can have one for sale (new or used)
let me know.

I need a golf bag that can fit my North Nugget 153 cm x 54 cm

Thanks

Samsonite SportLab $169.00 at Dick's

This is what I have.
2 kites, 1 twin-tip (max size 137x41) bar, harness, pump, wet-suit...weighs 46 pounds
Apres kiting with wet lines, damp harness, damp wetsuit...weighs 50 pounds.

I'm sure if you pack your bar, harness, and wetsuit in a carry-on, you'd be able to get
two twin-tips in under 50lbs.

Hard-side and no question that it is a golf bag.

I put one kite, 2 boards and some kiting stuff : shorty, booties etc... in my Mystic Golf bag. I also bring another big luggage where I put another 2 kites + all my clothes and also my footstrap + harness etc

Been doing this for the last 5 years and never had any problems.

PS: On the plane I carry a small bag where I put my cameras + a minimum of clothes ; shorts t-shirt etc...

Have a nice trip.
