Hi Guys!
have a client living in Abu Dhabi who is moving to Bristol soon.
I was looking for some information about Kiteboarding in this area but didn't found a lot apart from your monster-tide-statment in the kite forum.
Can you help me out with some info about kitespots (forgiving ones)or or about kiteboarding in general in this area?
Thanks and good winds!
Alex.

There are also some good spots in south Wales , not too far away if you use the severn bridge .

Westward ho: Very good place, but not kiteable 2 hours arrond the high tide.
Sandton sands: very good place but less popular than Westward ho.
Weston super mare: I do not recommand it because it is only kiteable at high tide as at low tide you can literally sink in the mud (very dangerous).
Wales:
Aberavon: good place. Could be a problem 2 hours arrond the high tide. The beach is a bit poluted/dirty (strange oily things, may be due to the factory close by).
Liangenith: very good place.
With those location you cover most of the dominant wind direction in the UK.
Important info: wetsuit 5/3 and I recommand wearing boots.
I would also recommand to buy the BKSA insurance as in Sandton Sands there is a notice board that request kiters to have some kind of insurance. No body check but better to stay in the safe side and the BKSA helps to keep the beach openned. I guess that for an expat, the BKSA year fee is not going to be a major problem.
