Mauritius September

Postby ArneB » Tue Apr 05, 2016 11:46 am

Hi,

We are planning a trip to Mauritius mid September with a group of 8 (Le Morne).

From Google/Kiteforum/Windfinder/ION.net etc. I would summarize the following wind statistic:

On average: Out of 10 days there, 7 days kitable (2 days 9m & 5 days 12m).

Does this sound about right? Just checking before we book our tickets...

Much appreciated!

September is the end of the kiting season. However, it mostly means the wind will not be its strongest, but will still be there. You're just less likely to be overpowered on your 9, and might use the 12 a bit more.
Le Morne is the place where there is the most wind acceleration, so if there is wind somewhere, it will be there.

On the non-windy days, September usually has nice not too hot days, so you will do fine.
