There was a lot of hype about these bladders, and lately I haven't heard squat.

Is anyone using them? (other than the OP)

Also, it's not flexible, so if the repair is too big, the flat tape around a curved bladder will buckle and you'll end up with little tape furrows that bleed air. Even if you stick the tape on a perfectly flattened bladder, once it expands the furrows can form.
My exact problem.
Funny that you mention leaks from installing the bladder, I assisted caveman in putting a brand new OB in his 13m and it immediately leaked. Upon removal it had many random pinholes.

I suppose i will just find a new bladder for this kite.
thanks guys
Had the exact same problem multiple times so stopped using them as I was not getting anywhere. The good thing is that this forced me to improve my repair skills to the point where there is now almost no bladder beyond repair :D

Kite Aid replaced the first one for free.
Do you mean airtime and not kite aid?? I'm confused...but that usually doesn't take much  .

Did you skip over the first page of this thread? There's a bit of squat there

They don't sound like a good replacement judging from what I've read so far.
Only a few peoples opinions I know but still...

Apologies to Kite-Aid. I meant to say AirTime. I'll change the post.

I had one of those Orange bladders like a year ago and had similar problems. I thought they quit making them?

I've tried to repair orange by myself, many tiny holes, hole after hole. IMO problem is that the bladder is too stiff and it cracks on the edges of the folds after number of inflations.

At the end I've switched to another, better bladders.

I need to replace a leading edge bladder on a 2010 north fuse and was about to order one of the orange airtime bladders before reading this. After reading the problems with them I will have to go with something else. Can anyone give me other options of where to get stronger bladders from?? Or if there are any shop owners reading this thread if you have a LE bladder for a 10m 2010 fuse or rebel in stock?? I can't find any at any shops within my area. I am in BC canada but can have it sent to an address in Wa. Thanks!!!

Does anyone know if the 2011 North kites are using these bladders? Thanks.

Tuff bladders from oceanextremesports.com work great. There a complete different material than what airtime uses.
