very nice video.

What music is it?

I read that riding a hydrofoil feels as when snowboarding on powder snow. I have to try it !!!

Twin tips are more like snowboarding.
Hydrofoil strapless is more like Aladdin's magic carpet ride, you are floating in the air with no noise of the wake.

Spacemonkey, where do you live to receive the foil in 3 days? Does the moses foil have the ability to change the foil wings from a stable learning configuration to the race version?

does everyone totally disassemble the board for transport?

there is an aluminum foil board made in the us but I don't hear much of it. how would the aluminum version work...corrosion?...would the foil sink vs float like the carbon fiber?

do the carbon fiber foils tend to break if run aground?

I only remove 4 bolts to separate the foil unit from the board for transport.

The aluminum foil is made by Skyski.com

Aluminum is heavier but stronger than carbon foils. Carbon foils are more brittle.
Skyski made the aluminum foil for marine use. I have one more than 10 year old. No corrosion.
Both Aluminum and Carbon Sinks in the water.

Aluminum will survive better than carbon if run aground.

This depends on the fab process.
For example, the Ketos by Orana (3Gcomposite.com) is finalized with an injection of epoxy foam into the strong infused carbon skin (for the mast).
The result is a foil weighting 4 pounds 13oz (2.2 kgs) for the whole set that is (mast + fuselage +2 wings) - under 2lbs (0.9 kg) for the mast and 0.66lbs or 10.6oz (300g) for the fuselage
The result is a .... floating foilboard, however very stiff and splittable.

Would like to know about the Alpinefoil.
Superbly built, very fast (above 33knts) and overwhelmingly recognized for its tolerance for beginners by the guys on the kitefoil forum.

No. The racing drift is different. You need to have another set.
However you can use the same board as the mount inserts are identical.

Yep! Everytime I go foiling in Belgium (twice a week). I drive to the spot on a scooter - 3km.
3 mins to rig it. 2 mins to derig it. Not a big issue. Especially using a hex wrench which does not wear the bolts so quickly as a screwdriver.

Not all carbon fibers float! Ensure before buying.
To confirm about Moses - my drift broke away and stayed on the surface. Happy :D

Not mine so far despite riding in muddy waters of North Sea in Belgium and Holland and using straps too. I'm really surprised about durability of my CF drift and wings after so many encounters with a sea bottom.
But for sure the aluminum one must be stronger. No doubts.
