Putting the REEF SURF BOARD 6'0" to the test. And other things......

P.S. The board finally broke after so many days abusing it, but just a heal break. Easy to fix.

Some of us are here in Dominican Republic, Cabarete, from PDC kiteboarding Mexico.
We brought with us a 9/6m Renegade and a 11m Judge!
the wind has been too strong to take out the 11m Judge, not complaining!!!
but here are some shots of them flying around the Bozo Bay.
the Renegades are getting some attention on the reef playing around on the waves, and the 2 days i actually was able to get the judge on the water, most of the advanced riders where pretty interested in it. Watching pretty closely as it would fly by them!
We have 2 more months over here, will try to get some footage of the kite, and get some to demo the judge and feed back.
I have been pretty amazed at the relaunch of the Judge, and how solid it flies through the sky handling the gusts super well. Very happy to play around on it Wake Style, its pushed me forward.

Hope everyone else is having an EPIC time with their kites.

Saludos
Dylan

Hello guys,
I have been getting a lot of emails and calls about our new EPIC CHICKEN LOOP and wanted to let you know that we are working on the final stage on this new CL. I just want to make sure that everything is 110% perfect. For example few people wanted to have the 2nd CL to be 10cm longer then the Loop that is on the Chicken Loop. Also we decided to put an "elastic band" inside the "Red Kill Switch line" in order to release easier with no restriction on the ring that connects to the LOOP. Plus few other minor things. I just want to make sure everything is working perfectly.
Once the CL, LOOP, XTREND BAR, RED LINE, DEPOWER STRAP, and so on are ready then will put it through production. So please give us at least 5 weeks to make sure everything is working the way I want it so you guys can be very happy with the final product.
Should have the final prototype ready in 10 days and from there will start the production run.

Hi guys,

Does anyone have by any chance a clip on how to use the 3G version stopper ball to do a dead man?
I'm trying very hard but I'm unable to get the timing right to pull that thing down before take-off or while I'm in the air. Even if I would get it down, I would have problems to get it back up to land smoothly. I don't get it...
I weight 68Kg and maybe I need 40knots with my Screamer 10M LTD in order to be in the air for 30 seconds or longer?

Cheers

Hello Mr.Caesar,
I just got back from my honey moon with my wife and will make you a video on how to use the STOPPER BALL in order to do one hand or no hand tricks. Do you want a video of how to use the Stopper ball that is on the 2011 bars or a video of the (3G) Bar with the Stopper ball?

P.S. You are using the Screamer 10 in 40 knots!!!!! Be carefull because this is too much wind for the S10. This kite is very powerful for conditions like that especially if you are only 68 kg.

Hi Dimitri,

Congrats on your wedding! I hope you had a great time there. :)

I have the 2012 3G LTD.

I was joking with the 40 knots; that would be a bit of a handful. Up to 35 gusts is fine.

Can you tell me the correct pressure of the LE of that kite?

Cheers

Hi Dimitri,

Just had a great North session on one of the lakes out in Utah with a few locals trying Epic kites. They tried the screamer 14 and renegade 11. I think they are hooked. He really loved the Renegade's stability and smooth sailing. As usual he felt the jump timing was a little off with the screamer compared to his other kite but also mentioned that when he got it right he would fly and float in the air! He was stoked. His wife ended up calling me and saying he could not stop talking about it. :D They are excited to see other kite companies finally showing up around here.

Hi Dimitri can we nitpick and split hairs for a second on the CL... since you are refining it...
Have you tested it to breaking strenght (either the red ball splitting or the white plastic cracking)?

Hello Mr.sarc,
Yes we tested the breaking strength of the CL and of the Stopper Ball and they did pass the test. The only thing that did not pass the test was the Line Stopper ball that is 1/2 way between the bar and the kite. This ball was breaking form the strength and the burn from the line when the bar was sliding all the way. But we did fix it. Now the only thing left is to use a hammer and try to break the red cover. But will do this on the last prototype that I have coming in 8 days.
