I did talk to a that have been on the board a lot..he said he liked the biggest skater a lot. That he wasn't really a strapless guy until that board...and he use it to surf with too..but he is a lot skinnier than me...

why would they not add a front pad? i'm still just waxing, but even with the best wax i'm slipping and sliding halfway through a downwinder.

I think it is the idea that you can surf it, and if you look at how people are riding their strapless boards, it is usually only with a back pad.

Make sure you get a good wax tho..I've been using shitty wax, and there is such a difference. :-)

Yes I've had mine out 3 times now.

....and the board designer has proved me wrong. It is a little annoying but also good. I've never had much success with boards that have toed in fins..this board has toed in fins, and they have quite a bit of cant...AND the rails are soft. All of which I've never had success with on board for kiting..until now. It is super fun. Loose, and playful, but packs a punch off the top. Wide enough tail to keep me going in less wind. I've ridden waves to about 8 feet faces...the size the hits you in the back of your head. On the bigger waves I found I was moving my back foot a little, but I do need more time on it to really figure things out.

I think the two major things stand out.
1. It is a surfboard. It is made for the kind of riding where the waves are in the center. and not the kite powered riding, and you just hit the wave (for that look at the global)...it would probably work, but feels really comfortable on the wave. Loose on the face, but solid. Feels very nice. Fast but controlled., and once you dig in for your turns, it throws spray..a lot of it :-)

2. Made with kiteconstruction. After three solid sessions on it, there are no dings at all, not a heel dent or anything. That has not happened for me before. The board still looks new. They did tell me they put something under the bamboo, but normally when the construction is that solid, the boards are heavy, which is not the case here. The board is still light.

Overall the other guys on the beach liked the looks of it..too. For me I'd liked if they included the bag, but at the price (which is less than a surftech with similar designs)...I'm super happy. I'm just using another bag...

I do need more time, but so far I think this board will see a lot of watertime :-)
