It depends what you mean by some freestyle... If you are unhooking and just starting to think about passing, you would probably have a lot more fun on the TS. The TS is a much more allround kite. But if you pass, and are serious about freestyle and that´s your thing, than you can´t go without it! It´s so great at the unhooked stability, I mean it´s superstable, and the lines slack perfectly. It has a lot of depower, specially considering it´s a C, but it´s still a handfull. And not a kite for everybody. Most people will have a lot more fun on a TS or a Kahoona, but the thing it´s made for, well it does it extremely well. I´m sure you will see some girls on it, be course it fully manageable. But it has quite a bit of bar pressure. It needs to be that way to be as stable and have the direct feel. When you leave you´re upper hand on the bar and go for the pass it´s normally easy to steer the kite up, but since it´s harder on the bar, so stable and need a bit more input, this will be much easier. But it´s a matter of taste and preferred riding style...

Thank you for the reply.. I tried the GP and I really like it..fast and powerful and still good depower.. might take the TS in smaller sizes for the strong wind days :)

ive had the 7m taboo
the 7m TS
and i recently took out the 7m GP in 35-40kts (im 80kg/ride the profanity V1)
and the GP was by far the most stable kite in high wind conditions
no fluttering in the canopy and even towards the end of the session when i had to put it down because i was getting too overpowered i still felt in control and quite safe really

Yes the 7 GP is awesome - tried it first time in the lagoon in Tarifa in the Lavente last fall, and still manage to pass ;) super stable, more than a lot of bigger kites.
Bought myself a 7 as well this summer, and super nice for powered kiteloops as well. Looks like I get to have another go on it tomorrow :D Such a fun size :)
