Sizes: 6m, 7m, 9m, 11m, 13m

Bullet points:
• Team Designed
• Competition C-kite
• The Reflex LE Design
• 5th Line Safety / Relaunch

The GP from Best will take you back to the future, back to when all that mattered was raw performance and nailing every new trick you tried. The GP is team rider designed, tuned and tested and delivers an unbeatable combination of pop, responsive steering and amazing unhooked feel.

The Reflex leading edge design (Patent Pending), unique to the GP, works just like suspension for your kite; giving the best unhooked feel you’ve ever ridden, especially in the turns, and helps to soak up every gust. The Reflex LE design also gives the GP an extended canopy lift area giving you more lift for jumping and effortless drive for staying upwind in the competition zone.

Designed for new-school and wakestyle riders the GP’s Twin Tune feature gives you multiple front and rear attachment point options so you can dial in more pop, better upwind ability and more responsive handling for competition heats or detune your GP for practicing your latest tricks. With Twin Tune you can effortlessly switch between new-school and wakestyle settings in seconds, allowing you to reinvent your style at a moment’s notice.

The GP is a true C-kite with no bridle, pulleys or sliders. It is designed to work best with the 5th line GP-Bar for maximum control, easy safety and the fastest possible relaunch. The GP-Bar comes with an 8mm spliced center line, Sacrifice Insert System for zero depower line wear and a new Pro-cuff QR to eliminate false releases when competing. Add of these innovations and features together and you have a C-kite package that is destined to be the future of freestyle competition.

GP: Back to the future

GP Kite: Product features

The Reflex:
The leading edge on the GP has a unique side profile with Reflex curve built in. ‘The Reflex’ helps you load up your kite for tricks and gives amazing slack line feel just after you pop. ‘The Reflex’ also means we can extend the center strut forward, giving you more lift area for better jumping, low end power and even improved upwind ability.

Twin Tune:
Every rider can perfectly tune the handling and power delivery of their GP C-kite to match their riding style. With Twin-Tune you can effortlessly switch between newschool and wakestyle settings. Twin Tune gives you multiple front and rear attachment point options so you can dial in more pop, better upwind ability and more responsive handling for competition heats or detune your GP for practicing your latest tricks.

True C-kite layout:
If you want the fastest turning and most direct feedback from your kite then you need to be as directly connected to it as possible. With the GP C-kite your flying lines connect directly to the wingtips and leading edge. There is no bridle, no sliders or pulleys, all you get is pure performance and amazing feedback at the bar

5th Line GP Bar:
The GP-C-kite comes with its own dedicated 5th Line bar, built to handle abuse. An 8mm, spliced centerline is the strongest in the business. A new ‘Sacrifice Insert System’ allows you to replace the low friction bar inserts so that your depower line can last season after season. We’ve beefed up the QR cuff for more strength and to reduce the likelihood of accidental releases. We’ve also added a 5th line safety to the Redline, so you can be sure your kite will spend all its time in the air and not in the water during your heat.

GP- Bar
Sizes: 47cm, 52cm

The GP-Bar takes the best of the Redline Performance Bar, strengthens and simplifies it to leave only the features that every freestyle competition rider absolutely must have.

Our Pro-Cuff push-to-release QR sets the standard for ease of use and serviceability; all parts are available as spares so you can keep riding forever. The outer cuff has been modified to eliminate the possibility of accidental releases without increasing the minimum release load. The under bar swivel has been improved with added drainage vents and low profile twist tabs making it smoother to turn and easier to untwist your lines no matter how many loops you’ve thrown.

For the GP-Bar we’ve thickened the center line depower ropes and then braided them together to form the thickest and most durable center line you’ve ever had. Add this to our Sacrifice-Insert-System that lines the bar center with replaceable low friction Delrin inserts and you have the smoothest depower action available.

New low profile molded bar ends with integral line winders help make those one handed loops easier than you expected and a new 3D grip pattern ensures you stay in contact with the bar no matter how aggressive your kite loops.

Low stretch flying lines are 700lb rated, color coded for easy setup and proven to offer incredible durability. The GP-Bar is the toughest and most practical bar we’ve ever built; it’s the unfair advantage we all need.

Pro-QR Cuff:
A one piece, injection molded quick release with push-to-release outer-cuff ensures reliable and easy safety system activation. With no mechanical internal parts there's nothing to foul to inhibit safe operation. The Pro-QR cuff has a reduced contact lip at the top of the cuff to minimize false release from riding unhooked yet still delivers the same low activation pressure for safe function even under load.

The Big One 8mm Depower Line:
We take two 4mm depower lines and braid them together to form the Big One an almost indestructible 8mm thick cable. With less line wear and smoother bar movement you’ll instantly understand why the Big One is the shape of things to come.

Big Ass Bar Ends:
When we designed our new bars we used the strongest and lightest composite engineering plastics that we could find to help make the stiffest bar ends we had ever made. Then we took these marvels of lightweight engineering and buried them in the biggest, fattest, softest and most comfortable EVA bar end covers you’ll ever smack yourself in the face with. They might not look like a skinny supermodel, but trust us- there’s simply no substitute for cushion when you’re pushing

5th Line Safety:
For competition riding you need a simple, dependable safety system, if you can combine that with fast and easy kite relaunch to help you maximize every session then even better. The GP-bar comes equipped with a 5th line safety system as standard to help you make the most of every session.

Forged Center:
A drop forged alloy bar center gives you maximum strength between your hands. The new design also allows the EVA bar grip to run right up to the center hole, making unhooked kite control just that little bit more secure than before.

Sacrifice Insert System:
Replaceable, low friction Delrin bar inserts help eliminate center line wear. The undersides are shaped to give a positive locking fit with the under bar swivel .

'Twist Tab’ Under Bar Swivel:
A low friction swivel with new twist tabs makes untwisting your lines easier than ever before. Designed to be easy to clean the swivel is updated with flush through vents so it can be cleaned in seconds. Should you ever need to strip your swivel it can be disassembled in seconds and all parts are available as spares.

so whats the deal with the settings on this kite
im on the 7 and 9m
but im just flying them on the middle knot for the 5th, the innermost leading edge attachments (those closest to the 5th) and the middle attachment for the pigtails/wingtip attachments.
how will swapping these around to the other settings affect the kites performance?

I just replied on the other topic how I prefer mine, but will try to explain the different settings briefly.

Front setting - font one - more depower more steering
front setting - back one - less depowe less steering
Back setting (trailing edge) A - back one - faster steering
B - setting - middle one
Back steering C - front one - slower steering

I prefer the knots that gives the most depower for unhooked tuning, and the middle one on the 5th line. but play around with these ones to find what you like.
For new HPstuff (spesially when releasing the front hand to pass from the back to front) I find it easier on the front on backsetting and the slowest C - inner one on the steering lines.
But for looping - more depower and the fastest setting.

nice one bro
im riding a whole quiver now
got a 13/9/6m V1
so i'll go have a play
ive been playing it safe with the pigtails on B and the leading edge adjustments on the central (closest to the 5th line) setting, the 5th line on the middle knot
do you know what the benefits of a slack or tight 5th line are?
whats the point in the settings?
