Hello Mr.Terrie,
I am sorry but I never said "got rid of you". I actually said: "went separate ways". :thumb:

Ahhhh...nice. A bunch of my friends all in one place. What up guys?

Truth as I see it? Yea...probably too many Epic threads and posts, but doubt that will change. It is what it is and overexposure is probably better for sales than underexposure.

I don't post on the threads anymore due to the sheer volume and that means my posts have little or no meaning.

At the same time, companies (manufacturers - not dealers) are allowed to post on Toby's forum if they PAY for ad space also. This is a benefit of supporting his forum and business. I've seen many threads go to flamers paradise if they don't pay for ad space. It's Toby's policy. So since Epic, as well as others, pay for ad space they have every right to post product info, etc.

If companies do NOT pay, then the threads will and should go to Flamers. It's Toby's business and he runs it as he sees fit.

This has been a long standing policy, but has not been mentioned much in the last few years.

Hey Dimitri, thanks for your honesty. I did'nt realize brands had to pay in order to have access to the forum. I now realize you are just trying to get as much for your money as possible :thumb:
Shame though, I thought kiteforum was an open discussion place and now might instead end up squatted by just few brands. Business is business...
Still don't understand the jealousy thing.. Tried the kites (nice), they are not competitors on my market (inexistent) and i am sure i could get some if I wanted, can you explain ?
I find your posts entertaining. It must be tough trying to post everyday just to keep a thread going and necessary as they otherwise disapear very fast.

Once again "windmaker" you are mistaken. The KITEFORUM is here to help people learn about kiteboarding and answer questions they may have. But if you are promoting a brand and start a thread about your own kite company, then you need to help the KITEFORUM by contributing in advertisements. So far this is what, NAISH, NORTH, BEST, BLADE, NOBILE, CABRINHA, EPIC, XENON, CRAZY FLY, CORE, LIQUID FORCE, FLYSURFER, and you name it are doing. They pay to advertise on the KITEFORUM. If you are not a manufacturer, then you don't need to worry about it. Continue posting what ever you want to post.

P.S. Again if you find my post entertaining then you are going to love this one:

Off course I am always mistaking but it is still my point of view.

Kiteforum is here to inform kitesurfers but apparently also help manufacturers promote themselves.. It is fair to say that a few brands (especially Epic) would be completely unknown without kiteforum.

Good for them, but at this point in my eyes all this repetitive double /triple daily posting is doing more harm than good to the image of the brand. Limit laughable...

Once again "windmaker" you are mistaken. You don't know how many emails or calls I am getting from dealers or customers or schools world wide because of what they read on the KITEFORUM or FACEBOOK or other FORUMS. It is amazing the good feed back we are getting from this. But you can't make everybody happy. You have few people like yourselves that get very resentful because of what EPIC kites has become. So if you want to keep this post up keep on posting or just go kiting and have an Epic time. Ooops I forgot you don't have an EPIC kite!!!
But maybe I can introduce you to Grannie Dee so she can rock your world.

P.S. By the way this came from the administrator of the KITEFORUM. I think this answers all your questions

simple: don't click topics with Epic in its headline if you don't like it.
I think it is great that a company owner personally shares his stoke and answers questions.
I wish all would do that!
And give credits to a small company supporting this website...other brands just use it for their promotions and never paid a dime to support it...those should be blamed for unfair business!

Sorry did not mean to upset you but do you genuinly believe people care whether you are doing well or not or how many mails you receive each day ?

If you haven't noticed yet it is not the products which are criticized but the way you abuse the kiteforum. I am done with arguing, it's like talking to a brick wall and frankly i really don't care.

So if you don't care Mr. "windmaker" why do you keep on coming back to the EPIC topics.
Some one who doesn't care won't even click on the EPIC topic, correct?
Since you love the EPIC topic, don't forget to click on this topic that some one else started: "HOW MUCH ADVERTISING DOES DIMITRI M. BUY FROM TOBI?"
Once again this happens to people that are very resentful of how good a company is doing especially in this tough economy.

P.S. Maybe you should start playing the new EPIC kiteboarding game that EPIC kites has for the IPHONE & IPAD or even better, meet GRANNIE DEE. You might learn something about kiteboarding.

Very cool photo! My favorite kite is the 10M LTD, though I haven't tried the newest version yet... Hatteras looks awesome, and I hope to make my first visit their next season.

Such angry comments flying around about Dimitri and Epic. I just don't get it. He isn't starting all these posts, people like me are: happy customers. Be proud that we are sharing the stoke, and perhaps give them a try(you might like it :thumb: )!

Furthermore, every angry post about Epic is just that, and angry post. An angry post that makes the poster look foolish, and then people like me jump on and tell it like it is: Extremely happy with my Epic kites and perfect customer support.

With that said, I would like to try to bring it back to the Hatteras demo's of the 3G kites. Anyone else have any sexy shots of these new kites that I can enjoy while I painfully wait for the snow to heap up enough to ride on?

Keep smiling people, life is too short to be angry...

Cheers!

Joe

hahaha so true Joe.

cant wait for the 3G kites myself only tried the Renegades and those were awesome.
A little light on the bar but enough. And when jumping the kite had a good feel.
Suprisingly long airtime too, i could jump atleast as high with the renegade as the screamer. But thats more because my technique isnt that good yet.

There is a story behind those two guys. Amusing but not relevant. If you dont like epic topics then dont read em.

Guys show us some more cool pictures and videos from your hatteras week.
