JS wrote:I habitually detach my bar and lines, and often rinse them. But with Flysurfer Speed (foil) kites, I've never detached the bar and lines, and never had any problems related to salt corrosion.
Leaving lines attached may be worth trying, for those of us who aren't hung up on rinsing.
Well said JS
Even those hung up with rinsing can still do it if lines stay on their kites
The bar/ lines need to stay 2 feet outside the kite and be coming out of the leading edge
Store bar/lines on top of kite when session done
Easy to reach if rinsing is required
Let bar/ lines dry overnight on top of kitebag....with the kite inside the bag
Flew also extensively Flysurfers...lines stayed on ( it is even sold like that)...no corrosion problems
Tube riders should be schooled on how to leave lines on

What's your process toeside for keeping the bar on...same as Supaez?
I fail to see if you leave 7 odd metres before, then flip kite, then lay bar down again ahead of the leading edge you keep sand off the bar and lines, unless you are moving your board around?
Oh maybe he moves the bar around to the front first and puts it on his board which is at the front of his kite already??
Got a vid guys?

That video was suggested....on page 10...October 25th
Thanks
I still believe the kite
itself is ideal system to manage lines efficiently and safely
Why learn to use a management tool to keep lines organized and in order...a kite will do that
Take the time instead to learn how to pack any tube kite without detaching anything
Be the first kite up and on the water having fun
