I habitually detach my bar and lines, and often rinse them. But with Flysurfer Speed (foil) kites, I've never detached the bar and lines, and never had any problems related to salt corrosion.
Leaving lines attached may be worth trying, for those of us who aren't hung up on rinsing.
Well said JS
Even those hung up with rinsing can still do it if lines stay on their kites
The bar/ lines need to stay 2 feet outside the kite and be coming out of the leading edge
Store bar/lines on top of kite when session done
Easy to reach if rinsing is required
Let bar/ lines dry overnight on top of kitebag....with the kite inside the bag
Flew also extensively Flysurfers...lines stayed on ( it is even sold like that)...no corrosion problems
Tube riders should be schooled on how to leave lines on
