Hi,
I realize 12m kites in general are not Porsches but I own a 2011 12m Reb, which is currently for sale as I just picked up a newer used 2013 Reb 12m. Only flew it for the first time yesterday but it actually seemed to turn slower than my 2011. Is this true? Maybe since it has swept wingtips? Could just be a tuning issue? I think my 2013 bar is set on the middle knot; I could always move it down a notch and try?
Thoughts?

What do you mean? I left Porsches behind me and when I approached them, their drivers looked nervously in their mirrors.
That was on German Autobahn(s)...
Have you tried different settings? The same line lengths? Can you try it on the same (2011er) bar?
Cheers

I have 12 Reb 2011 and my friend has 12 Reb 2013
You are not imagining anything
2013 12m2 is not only slower but also has less low end..not as lively...really not as fun to fly
We did extensive amount of sessions .....side by side testing on the water....in the surf...in 12-17kn

Change the setting on the Kite 2 Hard/Athletic whichever it says. I can remember what the 2013 said. This makes the Rebel create a more Sweeping powerful turn creating the power you are missing. The Default setting makes the Rebel turn to tight for me w out the Power.

Others have said on here that the 2013 Rebel is higher aspect ratio which makes it jump better and turn slower. I haven't tried 2011 and 2013 back to back in the same size, but I have a 2011 11m Rebel and 2013 14m Rebel. The jumps and hangtime are great on the 2013 14m, but the low end is not that great. I didn't think it was very slow, but fast turning isn't my number one priority.

+1 Davesails. Glad to hear someone else is not Paranoid how FAST a kite turns.
I couldn't give 2 licks how fast a kite turns. Mine all do great for what I need.

Thanks all. I guess I'll first try a faster setting either on the kite or on the bar rear lines. Don't get me wrong, I am not looking for a lightening fast 12m. I have a 5m for that. Its just that the 2013 felt sloppy and sluggish compared to the 2011. I noticed it most when doing down loops. Instead of rotating quick and high above it would take its time and come through the wind window like a tractor. Love Rebs so will continue to work with them.

Haha, it turns like a 14.8m, and has the low end of a 13.6m, but it jumps like a 15.3m, so I like it
