Ha haa - you are not into waveriding at all I can understand - as normally it is just the opposite regarding kitesizes, where the saying and goal is:

Go small or go home!!!!

We had a day yesterday where it was 3-4m2 winds, and my 5 was on the verge to possible, so difficult out there in the waves - but the wind sank to 40 knots and below later, and it was perfect the rest of the day with the biggest and best waves EVER seen right here at the local beach, because of the wind naturally, but also spot on direction so sideshore and clean at the pointbreak 8)

Normally I try to get away with using my North Fuse quiver with the 5m2 being the smallest. It does get scary on the (rocky) beaches when launching and landing though once the wind approaches 40 knots. I also feel the kite has more lift than what is needed on the fresh days as jumping in not priority 1 when the wind peaks 40.

I also have an old Naish Cult 4,5m] that I have used when very heavy. Nice for waveriding but totally lacks jumping ability, not even enough to jump waves going out.

At the moment trying to get hold of a proper 4m2 kite or so but not easy. Seems like most kites stop at 5m2. Any suggestions are most welcome.

Consider North Evo 4m2
Wind range 24-46 knots......27.6 to 52.9 mph
Projected area 2.3 m2
Aspect ratio 5.2

This thread is worthless without the poster's location filled in!!!! :angryfire:

That being said, my smallest one is the 7m Renegade and I'm looking to get the 5m as well. Since about 2 years the East Coast has been getting more and more of Nuking conditions - got to be ready!
