Interesting thread, despite the egos....
I've been flying North Vegas' pretty much exclusively since 2006 and riding waveboards exclusively for the past three years. I do not profess to be any type of expert, just the average joe. I'm rarely in "down the line" conditions and have never unhooked on a wave.
I love the Vegas, probably mainly because I'm used to it. I demo'd a few different kites last year, four liners, but still came back and bought the Vegas.
This year though, I've just picked up two spanking new 2012 Rebels. Not flown them yet, it's going to be an interesting experience. Not sure why I've got them only that all the hype would indicate that I'm flying the wrong kite. It's a case of suck it and see...
Just one question for those in the know....What's the idea of the elastic bungy rope on the tips of the Rebel? Where the steering line connects to the kite pigtail, the line is looped through an elastic chord. The other end of the chord is attached to the back of the leading edge, level with the front line attachment point. Anyone know what it's all about?
