torch aint a c kite, it's got tensioned 5th line, just like the north vegas

tensioned 5th line = supported leading edge. As for where you draw the line between a c shape tensioned 5th line, hybrid, bow, whatever, they are all the same to me, they have tension on the leading edge and use it to improve performance and depower, no matter what you call it, that's not a C kite.

fuel, hadlow, & airrush are the only c kites made now.

But I dont think it's the C kite that makes you ride all wakestyle and shred, it's the rider that matters more than the kite.

I wish it were as easy as buying a kite.

No no no - Torch and Vegas are C kites, just because they don't look like 2003 C kites doesn't mean that they are not. C kites have evolved - they still have direct front line attachment which give the direct feel associated with C kites, the 5th line helps support the LE allowing them to use thinner LE which makes them better (technical term  )

What about the North Rhino 2005 - that was one of the ultimate C kites but had a loaded 5th line :?:

Naish Torch 2005 had loaded 5th line, oh and so did 2006, and 2007 - all C kites

If the torch & vegas are C kites then so is the ozone C4. I mean I don't mind what the definition of a C kite is but if you let in the torch you also have to let in all the hybrids, they all feel the same in the air, supported leading edge with depower, but when you unhook, the shape is a C. I mean I wouldn't call the rhino a pure c kite either, it supports the leading edge. If it supports the leading edge in my book, then it's an SLE kite. And if an SLE kite can be a C kite then the C4 is also a C kite.

I agree the only real C kites are the razor, fuel and hadlow.

Razor has a 5th line though...and the hadlow has 4 options for ways to fly it, all 4 of which include leading edge support....

So actually by your own definition the only c kite is the fuel

If it feels like a c kite it's a c kite, vegas feels like a c kite, c4 does not. Simple :thumb:

That's not a bad way to put it.
