You could use that sponge for a nice warm bath... Interesting response... So how does a 12m ride and feel, in comparison to what? Another make? Another model year? How is this comparison made and who makes the comparison? Just think how small you could make them if you compared them to a model 10 years ago.... Maybe, the canopy size is less important today then it was in the past (I'm sure Dimitri would agree with this logic...) but you can't make a kite 1.5 square meters smaller.... 12% smaller and still say its a 12m cause that is not what it is, it might fly like someones old 12m but it is not 12 square meters of canopy. So, since it is only 10.5m does that mean the price reflects the cost of a kite that is closer to 10m? You could call it a 10.5m with the power of a 12m and it turns like a 9m ....lol

WOW, hate fest!
Props for making the RPM in 1m increments. Great to see a model fill out its range as it matures. As long as a 7 pulls a little more than a 6 and less than an 8 who really cares. The number on the side seems like a guide at best. There to help you match a kite to a windrange.

Just to be clear Starsky, I have no "hate" or "love" here, I think it is a valid conversation to have. If there is no consistency or reasonable amount of comparative data between brands/models, how is anyone to know what they are really buying? If you bought a 5.0L Mustang, wouldn't it bug you just a little bit if the car turned out to have only a 4L engine? The salesman I'm sure would say, well it pulls like a 5.0L but turns like a 3L. Maybe canopy size is not the answer, maybe we need to size kites for recommended Beaufort readings for an average size kiter 75KG.. I do not know the answer, but it is certainly a valid question....
