Yea, that's like getting a vert or two fused together right? My buddy was back in a few months. Taking it easy on a strapless surfboard, but it's Maui ya know so kinda touch and go. Good luck. Rest is best

I have four vertebrae in my neck fused....it's awesome, I love it!!! Fifty three years old and I can't look up or down, ...pretty cool. My left hand has nerve damage from my broken neck problem, so permanent numbness all across the surface of my palm and fingers on my left hand. My right elbow is a piece of broken junk and the surgeon that claimed he was gonna fix it owes me, because my arm still does not work correctly, and that fukker got paid. But the rest of me is running perfectly. ...and boy am I good looking!!!!!! .. the women just fall all over me. That's what you get for going balls out ,all your life. old 'n' broken. . . Seriously, just take it slow and go easy and find out what you can and cannot do and you might just be alright. Good Luck.

Thanks Tomatkins for your advice but I find seat harness very uncomfortable , I have kited for 11 years in Australia the last 7 years waist harness. I feel that waist harness lifts and takes weight off my spine no problem kiting but when on shore cannot stand for more than 5 minutes due to no disc / L4/L5. I have seen 2 neurosurgeons both advised back fusion 2 or 3 levels see my back surgeon Monday 02/20 bit concerned . thanks again

At least try the true shorts harness - Dakine Nitrous, etc - no pressure anywhere near the lower back - all in butt and upper legs - good luck!!!!
