Billy B, thanks for your review!

What's the wind range of your 2011 10m Dyno? The 2012 website is saying 12 - 25 knots. I just picked up a 2011 Dyno 10m second-hand and was wondering what range to expect.

I was thinking it would be the same as 10m Rebel when I bought it (14-30 knots), but this is saying 10 m Dyno range = 13 m Rebel range? Or is the Dyno range for a raceboard and Rebel range for a twin tip? I'm confused.

I'm not sure about pricing in other countries, but since everyone keeps talking USD, I feel that that the US retail price would be more accurate and you guys are WAY high. I'm expecting to have some in 4-6 weeks. We will have demos available in San Diego and San Francisco.

For retail pricing check us out:

A question for those of you who have had a season on the 2011 Dyno... how have the lightweight materials stood up to a year of use and abuse?

After pretty heavy use in San Diego, we were worried about that also. I just sold our last demo and it was actually in really good shape. Similar to other kites on the market. Not better, but certainly not worse.

Material looked fine after 7 months of use...including 5 months Brazil in heavy salty air and strong sun.
The water doesn't matter, since I barely drop it...maybe that makes a difference for freestyle gear?

I'm in Brasil and use it all the time (main kite). I treat it no different then any of my kites. Tell you the truth I'm not the best with kites because I use them almost every weekend and during the week if there's wind. My 2011 Rebel is a mess after one year (lots of use). In one year I broke the 5th line three times and the bar is nothing but metal. The 16m Dyno is still crispy with normal wear and marks from kiting in our area (6 months now). It's holding up the same as any other kite in my eyes

I've got about 20 sessions on my 18m and it makes a high speed fluttering sound when I loop it and sometimes when I dive it really hard. Not sure if it always made this noise since new or not. I didn't notice it until my 5th or 6th session. I've seen others make this same comment on the forum. No noticable effect on performance. I've never heard this noise from any other kite, even my blown out 11m waroo with well over 100 sessions on it.

Maybe all kites make this noise, but you only notice it when there is no wind? (sub 8 knots)

You would think with 7 struts plus two battens this thing would never flutter?

Wind range is so board -rider-condition, variable? On the stock depower line The 10m has a great highend, It behaves very well when wound up. I have used it while other kiters are on small kite as well as days people are holding down big kite so the low end is good if you have the board to work it with. . It is a treat. Are you going to fly yours on 4 or 5 lines?

davesails, my 16 and 18 are loud. Out of big mountain airs when I may loopo that big sucker it gets everyones attention.

I have alot of days on my 16m it is my money kite in the summer. So far the fabric is great.

Stoked for the new dynos!
