if he's aroung 100 miles from land,he should comfortably be within range (600miles) of search and rescue helicopters, having posted 4 sos messages with coordinates within the last 3 hours he must be wondering why the hell he hasnt been picked up yet!

This won't make me populair... but what a dumb fuck nice person.

I hope they find him alive (or his body for his family) if they find him alive i hope he gets a good bill for the resuce operation. Kitesurfing don't need this kind of actions.

I hope Jan is okay, I can only imagine what it would be like to be in the middle of a sea, may as well be an ocean, in need of help and no help appears.
I'm on the fence though, I know I would never do this without proper support, but without pioneers kiting would still be for kids and single line kites. Jan is obviously the type of person that paves the way for others, I just hope he doesn't lose his life while he does it.
God speed Jan, get home to your family safe!

Pete

No disrespect intended or implied !
This would be an Easy post on a HG forum ; we all think the same on the subject ...

As i stated previously :
DRAMA at it's Best !!
& Really Nice to see Everyone Pulling for the Guy !!!!!!
Hope he makes it ...

this is not a drama, this is Jan Lisewski fighting for his life, foff

YES this IS Drama, and what makes it such is that the kiter placed HIMSELF against NATURE
when the final outcome was Unclear. And did so in front of a World Wide audience.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drama
It's from the Greek word meaning "action" (Classical Greek: δρᾶμα, drama), which is derived from "to do","to act"

When we thermal up the side of a mountain in light winds, HG's get close to the ground
so each back-side turn could result in catastrophe, if not done properly.
And even then we need a Lil luck to pull it off, because Nature is NOT compliant to Man. The result is much the same as any battle attempted against nature by Man for the last 30,000 + years ;
a Really Good Rush !!

You can sit on your sofa & eat potato-chips, in the safety of your home ;OR-- go try for a Lil Drama
in your life to spice things Up a Bit ...

I'd be dead from Boredom Without the challenge ; I suspect the Lost kiter feels much the
same as me on this subject ?

I Really HOPE he makes it ; but does anyone wanna bet me that he'll be Right back at it
if he's found ??

Trust me ----- He'll be attempting another struggle against nature, the first chance he gets(.)
He's "ALIVE" inside !!!!!!!! Something the Sheep will Never understand. (sigh)
& I Really "Like" the guy for Trying !!

Bille
