A friend and I are coming into SPI in a couple days and we have a few questions about it that we thought some of you might be able to give us some help on.

1. We are trying to find a place to stay, it looks like spring break really takes over the island. Is it possible to find a room or a peaceful place around there for cheap?

2. We might be planning on going to Corpus Christi during spring break to get away from the crowd. What's the wind like compared to South Padre Island? A Lot less or same?

3. What are the best places to kite at Corpus Christi and SPI? Trying to find some great flat and wave spots.

Any other helpful info would be appreciated, Thanks, Ty

Avoid South Padre Island in mid March. College madness means no cheap lodging.
Its when $40 dollar rooms cost $200.

You might also look at Corpus Christi. They don't get the same crowd as South Padre and they have some really good places to kite. Checkout the local shop in Corpus Christi at www.kiteboarding.com they list all of the best spots and what the ability levels are at each spot.
