So you do agree there are stupid questions after all?Peter_Frank wrote:1. Why are pumps cylinders and pistons round?

And #1 on the list is not a question, but simply a joke and also some making fun out of others "serious" and often quite ingenious questions when you look a bit deeper
#2 is IMO a REALLY good question, apparently above most of the readers answering here
#3 is also a really good question, as for many the wide backs are utterly unusable and definitely a no-go
IMO the most stupid question by far - but understandable why so many ask so would not even call it a stupid question, just meaningless, is:
What is the best kite ?
Hilarious and makes absolutely no sense answering (apart from a major storm of answers, trying to sell their own product or belief)

If indeed there were a topic What is the best kite ?, it would immediately take place number 1.
I am aware you defended the flat base pump question as a valid one, and that alone justifies your intervention here. On the other hand you understood the round cylinder question was a joke. Why shouldn't anyone be allowed to see the first one as a joke? I am still not convinced it wasn't meant to be a joke.
PS: "There are NO stupid questions" sounds quite a pompous (and politically correct) statement, especially the emphasis on NO.
The nuance between meaningless, stupid and silly is quite subtle. "Meaningless" certainly appears more acceptable to you lot.
Hey guys, please, don't take this topic seriously. It was meant to be just the opposite.
