Apparently in Quebec they have these things called "paraskiflex" for snowkiting. They are single skin and it looks like they get support from carbon fiber tubes. Don't know if that counts as a single skin foil

IMHO it fully qualifies as a single skin kite, not foil.

Or how well would a tube kite with 1PSI pressure fly if it had a full bridle like a foil? That kind of thinking can make a person go straight to the "silly" farm :P

You mean something like this:

Mind you, it's got a spar.

Else like that?

A google search with inflatable and wings (or planes) yields a lot of weird, or clever, concepts.

YEAH IT DOES FLY GOOD
ZERO PRE-INFLATING + FASTEST SET-UP AND LAUNCH
FASTEST AND SMALLEST PACK DOWN

BUT FOR WATER USE WATCH OUT IF YOU DROP IT :P

If it flies well and is stable, I'd be more than happy to take the responsibility of not crashing it...or accepting the consequences if I do. How about that kite for travel? Wow. I want to be on the product testing team. I'd love a quiver of these for all wind conditions weighing a total of maybe 7-8 lbs and fitting into a small bag. That is minimalist kiting, sort of nasawing meets paraglider.

Do you understand a wing like this has zero depower? You would need 4 times as many kites. Good luck trying to ride upwind.

Well This "single skin foil" will up-wind with the best kite's out-there ;
and it will depower to near (O) -- and fly backwards while doing figure-8's !!

On a Land-buggy, i can add 3-5deg tack angle over most any kite made
with one of these. Only problem is that your Always flying it, & never relaxed.
Definitely NOT a park & ride !!

bille that's a framed kite of course it has the best performance. I am talking nasawing style frameless single skin as in the original post.

If it flies well and is stable I'd be interested.

For me "flies well" would not include flying like a brick, not turning well, sitting back in the window, stalling backward or collapsing at the leading edge or shoulders. Relaunchability and good depower are not deal breakers for me. I just like a kite that is super stable and really hugs the edge of the window. I won't judge the whole concept as impossible, and hope the Ozone guys or someone else can advance the concept.

If someday a single skinned foil could fly somewhat like a huge Flysurfer, I'd be interested. I'm always interested in finding a way to get a non-depowering kite to depower (they said it couldn't be done with Blades a long time ago but I've done it plenty of times). I would think that leading edge collapse might be a problem as AOA is decreased, but who am I to say it's impossible? I think the biggest challenge with the concept is in creating a wing that tolerates a very low AOA while remaining stable.

A single skin kite with a frame (like a big C-quad) would interest me, although busted frames would probably annoy me as much as bladder leaks.

THIS NEW TOPIC SURE BACKFIRED ON ME (in a good way)
WAS MEANT as silly question to regain my #1 title in the Open competition judged by Alexrider

After seeing what OZONE is working on & Loco4viento's comment
I see that it could very well be douable to build extra large foils only meant to be ridden
in very low stable winds on water

WHO CARES ABOUT DEPOWER IN STEADY 7-8 KNOTS WIND

Don't worry SupaEZ, your post is still in the process of evaluation, and so are the replies, btw.
The wording of the topic title "How well would a single skin foil fly?" is clearly a winner.
It's a masterpiece of contradiction in terms.
However you spoiled it with the less concise formulation which was open to a rational interpretation, leading to a deluge of replies:
"Or how well would a tube kite with 1PSI pressure fly if it had a full bridle like a foil?"
Your gross mistake: you forgot to repeat the "single skin" bit.
Should you admit your formulation was poor, you'd take the lead.
