I have a 1st gen wainman smoke. The front line bridle attachment is labeled "fast slow". Newer models are labeled "upwind downwind".
Anybody know Which is the upwind setting for my 2009 version

Upwind setting is more toward the center strut.
And move the steering lines to fast.... it jumps better with both things done that way.

Slow setting is upwind. Fast setting is downwind. On Gen 1 Wainman kites. I've always rode my Wainman's on slow / upwind setting on front lines & slowest setting on steering lines (even on current 2012 model). That's the best set up for wakestyle- handle pass tricks. For surf riding its the total opposite, and free riding is what ever you like (some where in the middle settings). Hope this helps and have fun
