I got a butt load of old , ripped, broken kites.
Is there someone locally (Oahu, Hawaii) who wants them?
Maybe I can get a bag or a wind breaker out of it.
Also, some bladders might still be useful .
Got: GK, North, SS, Kitesurfer, SOFX

I get a count and pix if someone is interested.
Need to clean out the graveyard under my house.

Hi,

I have one old and ripped kite here which I use only to give to people to learn securing and rescuing kites.
You don't want to do that exercise with a "good" kite since that will be most likely damaged if that person never rescued a kite before.
The LE has to be ok.

Send PUMP ME UP and email for his advice. old foil kites are never thrown away. they usually resell and never less that half of their new price. foils are easily repaired to as new condition :thumb:

Hey, I will take them regardless of condition. I am not local but can pay for shipping. I am looking for kites that I can experiment different screen printing techniques on, in hopes of finding ways to do cost effective custom graphics on kites. For obvious reasons I do not want to do this to functioning kites.... There is some potential that I could ruin the canopy or bleed color etc... Thanks

I will take them as well and pay for shipping. For me, I have an inexpensive seamstress turn them into changing ponchos.

Let me know.

Thanks,

Recycle them at Caution. I know they had a program where they were recycling old kites for discounts on new ones.

If you could make them more UV resistant, then, there would be a lot that you could do with them, like making them into self-standing items (beach shade shelters, hot tub rain umbrellas, hammocks, etc)...but the material of modern kites really deteriorates fast... so you are limited to indoor items, like things, like _______, or a net for your indoor golf driving range, that would give your wife grounds for divorce.
