In the past Naish produced their school kites without the one pump system whcih was a shame because sometimes the school kites were pretty nice otherwise. What about the Ride?

 CG
The Ride has the one Pump :cool2:
Main difference is the bar which is 24m, has a different soft grip and has no swivel on the front lines.

And there goes the possibility of considering buying that kite. Come on now guys, there's only two struts, why on heavens shake would you want to put (that terrible-or any other kind) one pump to that? :-?
Just adding weight, cost and complex in an otherwise simple kite. :nono:

For the past 4 days I have been demoing the RIDE in Florida. The feedback on the beach has been fantastic. People are stoked with the power, smooth feel, stability and how light the kite is.

It handled the waves and on shore winds great in Jupiter. It drifted perfectly and provided the power you needed to get through tough on shore head high wave conditions. I had a blast with the 10 and the 5'9" Skater.

In Miami it was flat, windy and great for a little freestyle session. In those conditions it unhooked great, boosted with power and provided smooth landing. I was impressed that the kite did not back stall at all or pull you down wind when unhooked.

In Cocoa it showed some great power in light winds. The 12 was a great light wind kite with the Alaia. As it picked up I got to ride it a bit with a Money Shot and it was a powerful pull in under 16 knots. It held its own with the 14's in the water for sure.

I hope some of you that got a chance to ride the RIDE this week can give a review of what you thought.

Naish Nation will be in Charleston April 21 and 22 and Hatteras from April 26 thru 29. Please join Naish Nation and try all of the kites and boards for yourself.

No movies or teaser of this kite? Even if its a pro ridding (cause if they ride any kite it looks good), I would like to see t flying and I cannot do that here in South Brazil...

Any movie showying some loops and the kite (not the rider) would be cool to check it out

Yeah, I like the kite too, since I am a newbee. I like the idea of the anti-stiction, so water does not get stuck at the wingtip, suppose to make relaunch easier and overall an easy forgiving kite. Would like to hear more reviews on it though.

Regarding the price, you can see on Naish's hopepage, that a 8m Ride complete will cost $1350 where a 8m Park complete will cost $1580. So you can save some money with the Ride. Appears however the Ride bar is simple, with no swivel and fixed lines. Dont know if that means you cant replace the line if they get worn out..

The video from Designer Damien Girardin is great, and funny, especially listen to the part where he says sheet in and sheet out ; sounds like he is talking about something else ;-)...
