I have flown the Varial X a lot, but only had a fleeting shot on a C4, prob not enough to comment..
The X sold me though, I use a quiver of them now, and prize the handling.. fantastic in powered conditions or efficient free race boards in lighter winds.

got a c4 but haven't flown a varial.
c4 is a magic kite.
