Combuco wind pattern in Jan

Postby madmax7 » Sun Nov 03, 2013 7:41 pm

Considering Combuco for first 2 weeks in Jan

What is daily wind pattern like?
What are probabilities of wind during that 2 week period?
What sizes should I expect to fly on a daily basis?

Is there wind from morning to eve? And will I need diff kites for diff times?

What's wind like to practice tricks? Gusty?

Do I need rent a car?

Any current info appreciated, I've read conflicting info reg Jan. does not appear like right time to expect wind everyday. ?!

Thanks. Max

If dry no rain: 15-20 knots
If rain 10-15 knots

No one knows if it will stay dry or rain.

But I would say for sure 50% windy days.

People are on 9-12, lighter days 11-16.

Strongest wind 11-14 (noon).
Starts slowly in morning, drops in afternoon.
Sometimes blowd all day...depends.

No rental car needed really.
Just come and see if you need, but normally not, only if you want to do some trips to other locations.

Thanks Toby,

When is the best time to improve the statistics for number of windy days

At 50% hard to justify almost 2 days lost in travel each way from So California, but I wanna get there some day!

Thanks, Max

you could also have 80%...
at this point no one can tell.

Best time: July to December. Strongest Sept and Oct.
If you can travel anytime, go in September...great winds (100%) and empty lagoons!

I don't know about you guys, but this is the worst season I had on wind speed since 2009.
São Luís - Ma is failing to achieve even means.
Bored!
