Any good reviews on this board? I have used the search function here and google and I have found some reviews but not a lot. I am considering buying the 135 x 41 Supershinn but would like to know how it compares to the Monk and other top rated boards. I have never ridden a Monk but I have read all the great reviews on the board.
I have a flatwater spot and a choppy spot that I split my kite sessions between. Then there are the downwinders in waves. Looking for a good all around board for: good upwind ability, jumping, carving, freeriding, and waves.
So far I have owned a Best Float series 135 and a Wainman blunt II 135. I sold the Blunt II because I found it difficult to go upwind, but I did like everything else about the board. My Best float series is the current board I ride but its old and I want the latest greatest technology. I have also tried the Best Armada V2 and the Crazyfly Raptor pro and did like both of these boards. I passed on buying a used Best Armada because I was short on cash at the time and also couldn't find a lot of reviews about the board.
So any feedback on the Supershinn, comparisons, etc. would be appreciated.
Aloha and Irie Vibes from the Caribbean.

Hi,
I have just brought the 135 x 41 after having a board from the UK distributor on trial for 1 month. There is a large thread on the kiteboarder forum about all of the shinn boards with free trials of their boards in the uk (you have to pay for the return packaging) Anyway I am not an amazing kitesurfer so take what you will from this review. I owned a nobile 555 which went up wind great but I had trouble jumping and could not get pop of the water either. Then I went to a 131 x 39 cabrinha Calibar which was great for jumping but I just could not get up wind. Thats when I tried the supershinn and the board was like a combination of my old boards it goes up wind great and jumps amazingly easily it just wants to pop of the water. I love this board compared to my old boards. the uk is generally choppy and i find this board fine in the chop i have bad knees and it does not seem to aggravate them in the chop. I have heard the monk is better in the chop but i have not tried it. See if your distributor does a free trial service and try it I am sure you will like it. I want to try the monk just to see what it is like as everyone raves about it. It does not really suit my style as I am not an aggressive rider but its like an itch I need to scratch.
Hope its helpful
Paul

I am very picky about boards only like a few and ride a ton. I rode a friends Monk one day in choppy conditions, I forgot that I wasnt riding my normal board right off the bat. It is pretty rare when you try new equipment that you are super comfortable right from the start. My everyday baord is a FOne Trax which I think for the conditions where I live is the best board I have found to date, the Monk rode just as good it really suprised me! I would buy one in a minute it definitely has that special ride!

Monk is the nicest board I've ever been on...by a lot. Goes fast a hell and does not feel like it is going fast, leads to bigger jumps with no penalty. Super smooth in chop, landings are stupid easy. I would bet a second ride comparing the Trax to it, would tip the scales to the Monk. Really nice board.

No, which is why I said I would bet a second ride would tip the scales.....almost everyone who rides the Monk says what you said, and if they ride it twice they usually admit they like the Monk better than their current board. If I had tried the Trax against the Monk, I would not have bet / guessed / assumed / wagered / speculated and said what I said.....I would have just given my opinion comparing the two directly. But my experience is probably way less than yours.... I did not ride a ton of boards, ....just a bunch.

What size are those 2 boards Poacher?
Just trying to keep information accurate if you have never tried a board hard to talk about it thats all. Betting, guessing just more hot air on the forum people get sidetracked so easy.
