Ok soooo after my kite was stolen last weekend , this weekend was almost as bad

Yesterday had some nice 18 knot wind and i finally got to try some wave riding , and caught a couple sweeeeet waves on a friend's kite ....

TODAY NOW ... me and a friend went to kite , and met up with two other kiters who are friends but not as experienced. Whenever i kite with all 3 of them i feel like i am babysitting because i am the only one who can self land and launch (personally i feel it's outrageous they don't know how yet) . i always offer to teach them how to , but they always seem scared , it's soo easy ...

ANYWAY .... yesterday i helped one of them launch (he claims to be kiting for 7 years, he's shit and a lair) lol , anyway , the kite didnt launch properly and fell back onto the beach , and he didnt even know which line to pull to launch it again ..
ANYWAY , this happened TWICE today , the 2nd time it went in a bush and tore the kite , small 6 inch L-shape tear ... but he was cursing me saying it was my fault , i refused to argue with him and he was obviously pissed that his day of kiting was ruined ... i was pissed too cuz i wanted to use his 10m cuz i was underpowered on a 9m i had borrowed ... anyway a lil later he apologized etc. ...

My other friend decided to offer to lend him his 2007 cabrinha 12m , so i rigged it up for up , went out on it to tune it etc. (cuz these guys still don't know the basics) ... gave him the kite and he went out fine ... my female friend was out kiting , and she was fine , staying upwind on her new 9m bandit 5 ... i was watchign them as she wiped out her kite in the water , and my friend who borrowed the 12m collided into her lines (she was upwind to him) and the kites twisted up big time and line shredded the 12m .... however the girl on the 9m took the blame for what happened (i don't know why because i havn't spoken to her since)

question though , who's to blame hwne something like that happens . i think they took too long to release the emergency depower release , so the lines were still powered and tore one of the kites

so the chick on the 9m crashes her kite and dude down wind rides into the lines? chick in the wrong.

i also agree wuth the captain. Somewhere tonight there's a poor husband being told off for making her kite crash while she kited.

At this point it also pays to mention that borrowing inflatables is a risky business.

I lend some of my foils out from time to time but the lei's... to easy to damage.

If you lend a kite you either have an old shitter you don't care if it gets damaged.

Or you when i lend stuff i'm worried about damage i tell whoever borrows the item

"prostitute theory applies"

What is that you ask?

You F@#k it you pay for it.

on my planet of rules. unless the chick and her kite have been downed long enough for others to get out of the way. then its the dudes fault.

So...

if chick crashed kite then 1 second later dude smacks into line. chick at fault. shouldnt be crashing kites that close upwind of people. if you can control your kite get down wind and out of the say.

if chick crashes kite 40 seconds later numb nuts steam rolls into her. dude is at fault.
