Do you think YOU could SEE better?
Have you had an eye test recently to check your distance vision?
Do you know if the people on the water with can SEE you in advance to avoid colliding with you?
Many many people i suspect have uncorrected refractive errors and can't see past 25m sharply
For kiters a yearly eye exam and finely tuned soft contacts (spherical or for astigmatism) is a must
Those who had refractive surgeries (RK / LASIK) your vision could have change so also have test
You could benefit with weak prescription wrap polarized or transitions(changeable tint) sunglasses
Some people over 45 years have monovision fitted contacts (distance power for dominant eye)
Non-dominant eye will have mid-range or near power
Those kiters have somewhat less 3D vision and dept perception is somewhat diminished
I do not see enough people protecting their eyes also from accumulative UV radiation
Sunglasses are a hassle i hear
They get all spotted and i keep losing them...so i do not bother..the sun rays cannot hurt me
To reduce spots order sunwear lenses with a super hydrophobic angle of 116 degrees
Crizal Avance or Sapphire,Crizal Sunshield or Crizal Sunshield Mirrors are great examples
Lenses like that are made to order pretty much worlwide
I leash my sunglasses ( that i wear over my newest contacts) directly to the upper back of harness
Zero loss no matter what size wave or wipeout gets the best of me
Kiters with 20/20 have veiled vision when the glare of the sun gets in their eyes and blinds them
Polarized lenses are a must if kiting facing a low sun (especially with sun lower than 30 degrees)
Maybe many accidents while kiting could have been prevented with sharp vision
Those who have any questions please ask
