I doubt the LASIK has anything to do with it except for the fact that you do not need to wear glasses always and therefore more exposure to sun and wind. Pingueculum and pterygium are common eye conditions and aggravated by sun and wind. If you can avoid pterygium surgery in your life that would be a plus.
Vasoconstrictor eye drops for example those based on phenyephrine or tetrahydrazolazine (like Visene, Rhoto and ClearEyes) or Atropine (like Similasan Homeopathic Eyedrops) will cause more redness and irritation in the long run. (P.S. Atropine in Similasan is a drug, no matter how its labeled for you naturopathic folks.) I would stick with artificial tear products and sun/wind protection and if that is not working for you then get the eyes looked at.
Crizal Alize is very elegant for keeping lenses clean and clear, but I can't imagine taking a $400 pair of glasses to get sand blasted on the beach and lost in the surf. I have that on my glasses, which I only wear to correct minimal refractive error during night driving.
Personally, I like to wear dirt cheap sunglass/goggles in the water. The cheaper the better so I don't cry when I lose them. If you are resourceful you can probably find a gross for less than a pair of Oakleys. Rain-X (the kind that goes on the outside windshield) seems to work well for me. And I often use a lubricating ointment like RefreshPM before kiting so my eyes repel salt water. It helps a lot.
Thank you Doctor Jakemore

Those lenses are made to order in 7-10 working days
We can install them in any 6base,8base or 9 base curve frames
Plastic wrap frames are better because they fit closer to the face due to rim thickness
They prevent the uv rays form reaching the eye through possible gaps
Frame selection important with poper "B" measurement (vertical height of frame)
By reaching lower to the cheeks water splashing up your leg and the sun reflecting off the water
will not enter your eyes from below the frame
