Hi! can you help me! I am an intermated/advance rider - I Weigh 80kg - ride a 135x41 cm twintip board - I need to decide the measures of the torch 2012 kites.
My target of wind is from 11/12 to 30/32 Knots of wind
On the base of your experiences what is the best combination of naish torch 2012 kite measures 12/9 ? - 12/8 ? - 14/9 ? 14/8 ?

please help me decide.

Thanks a lot to everyone

Regards

Hmmm what is the wind doing most of the time? If the 30knof is are just spikes it makes it different from averaging 30.

If your wind is rarely 11 and rarely 30 but most of the time 20 knots you should pick the right kite for that wind.
With that in mind I am not sure that a 12 will cover the lowest end. So maybe the 14. For 30 you'll be powered on an 8 but I think perhaps you'll have a gap in there I would probably pick the 9...its a very sweet kite. There should be some overlap still.

I would consider a different set up if the wind is 20 knots 90% of the time and 11 or. 30 only very rarely :)

Well, if that windrange is absolute (not a knot more than 32kn and absolutely want to ride in 11kn) you can should get 14m + 10m.
For maximum low-end on a TT and 80kg you need the biggest Torch they make nowadays: 14m and for a relaxed overlap you shouldn't get a too big gap for the next one. You should easily kite with a 10m in 32kn as I (65kg) can hold down the 10m until 31kn, but that's the absolute upper limit for me.

Covering that wind range with two kites will be difficult. You'll need to sacrifice something (or won't be comfortable riding at a certain wind range).

sacrifice the low end: 12m+8m
sacrifice the high end: 14m+9m
sacrifice the middle range: 14m+8m

Obviously it depends on how you like to ride. In 12 knots I would probably take the 14 to riding with good solid power. If you are practicing new things and want to go lighter the 12 might be ok.

In 20 knots the 9 is really nice. If it is rarely much more I would probably go 10. Prrsonally I would not go 8...even if it is a sweet kite :)

With the ito you have given 14 -10 seems great yo me.

I am 80 kg and I ride the 10 and 8m.
Wind range in 4 to 10C air temp.: ~7-8m/s to 15m/s++ (I can go lower, but no fun then I take an old 14m)
When I was in the DR i needed atleast minimum 9-10m/s ishh..
