I flew the 2012 Fuse 9m right after flying my 2012 Rebel. Frankly, they feel very similar.. perhaps the Fuse has even slightly more power (which is a lot since the Rebel has very good low end power). The Fuse is very quick, I had no trouble doing kiteloops, and I found it very floaty in jumps. Overall a very nice kite.
I think choosing between the Rebel and Fuse comes down to whether you want a 5th line. There are pros and cons. I believe that the 5th line Rebel is their best selling kite, but I expect this to gradually change as more people opt for 4 line simplicity. That's just my prediction.

I have ridden quite some 5 line kites but choose the Fuse for it's 4 line simplicity.
Range on the Fuse is excellent, not the same short bar throw as the Rebel but still very manageable. Jumping the kite in its high end is insane...with any kite one could say but the Fuse really excels.

The kite is good the 2012 perhaps even better.
Kite will be repaired paid by North, sub standard solution especially with the price point North has, but anything better than nothing.

agree.
with the price of kite$,it would be refreshing to hear a kite company say...
"you'll get years of use from your kite"
instead of just pimping the new sh*t,....2013-14... totally re-designed-hype,
and assuming everyone gets new kites every season.
WE need to stay on kite companies and demand DURABILITY & LONGEVITY.

Thanks for your feedback. It's what I was searching. I've been riding 5th line since the '05 Rhinos, falling love with Rebel, and with EVOs liked the 4 lines simplicity, but just too much grunty for me.
I'm going to buy a Fuse.

We've been seeing this kind of damage from North a lot at our customers, which are kiterepair stations throughout Europe. Unfortunately we've also seen it on different sizes so i'm pretty sure they have had multiple complains already...
We've advised our customers to send a writing to North to ask for a solution inc. compensation for depreciation of the kite. They could easely make everybody with the same issues happy by for instance offering an extra discount on a new kite or something like that...

seriously get sick of hearing north has the best quality blah blah blah, they dont.
they do have some good and bad points, sometimes they even screw up big time. this looks like another one of those times!

Hey, x-ray how did north solved you this issue, because my 2012 10m fuse have the same wear. I been using this kite about 4 times. Kite is still in warranty, cuz i bought new in 2013. Its ok if north pay repair, but this wear can be done again.. i would be realy happy with new kite replacment. Thanks
