Just a quick question :D

What would the real world top end of the 9m Rebel 2012 be? North site states 15-32kn for 75kg rider.

I'm 66kg on a 133 TT.

Tks

Not scientific answer but here goes

75kg=32knots/36.82mph

So 66kg x 32kn = 2112 divided by 75 = 28.16knots/32.40mph (seem about correct)
For 133cm wide board (that is kind of a wide board for high wind)

For example Toby (90-95kg) uses "128cm" wide board with an 18Dyno in 25 knots in hot/warm wind
So to help your top end and send the kite at edge of window a narrow board helps a lot

So many factors affect lower and upper wind ranges

Tks SupaEZ, so 28kn should be the max point where I would still be able to hold an edge? Just rechecked my board size after your comment. Its 129 x 33.

I'll be going to Sri Lanka next week and the wind is 20-24kn predicted by windfinder at the moment. Temp is about 28-32 C.

Remember not scientific estimate
But you will be just fine in 20-24 knots
At 28 knots you can hold an edge because i like that your board is relatively short at only 129cm

Have fun at latitude 37 degrees.......sunglasses + sunscreen etc....etc.... :thumb:

i have ridden my 9m switchblade in 35 knots at 65kg on a 133x41 freestyle board... not comfortable but it can be done.

20-24 is ideal 9m range for me...
